Dallas Trip/ 34 weeks and counting

My annual trip to Dallas to visit my brother Preston's family and my mom who was also visiting!

My nephews Carter and Cole. I thought this was such a cute picture! I walked in the room with them just sitting in the same chair playing a game on the computer!

Carter and Jake had alot of fun together! You would often find Carter outside walking around just chatting with Jake like they were good buddies. The little stinker would sneak food under the table because Jake always looked so hungry to him!
Sister-in-law Karee and me and our big ol' bellies. It wasn't the best time to take a picture(I think we both just woke up) but my mom insisted!

Preston's family, my mom, and I out to eat at a yummy Mexican restaurant where I gained about a pound!

Sweet little Cole

Gotta love having mom around

34 weeks! 6 more to go-YIKES! Any last bit of advice mommies?

Lonely Pumpkin

I made a late decision that this year would be the year to carve a pumpkin! So I got the last lonely, overlooked, slighlty deformed, partially green pumpkin. I loved it! I let it fulfill its purpose in life!

My deformed pumpkin and all the chocolate I could ever need sitting patiently by it holding back the urge to start biting it again.

I carved a little doggy(for Jake) on one side...

And a ghost on the other!

Happy Halloween!

Going Crazy

So Lance and I are back in Texas and these past two weeks I have slightly gone insane. No not because I'm in Texas(well maybe...jk all you crazy Texans)but because I haven't had a job or a dog to take care of and no one home to talk to except the little guy in my stomach who just jabs me constantly! Putting me in a house all alone with nothing to do...I come up with some interesting things. Well one of the little projects I came up with is to suddenly become Mrs. Seamstress and make a baby blanket! So I go to the fabric store and look at a few books to get some ideas and since I don't want to buy the book I sneak into one of the isles and write down the 4 step directions on how to make this blanket, not realizing that since this is only my 2nd sewing project I might want to get a little more detailed directions. But I say how hard can this be? I go and buy the fabric which I show Lance, and after laughing at me just on the thought of me making a blanket, thinks the fabric is a little girly. So for the past week I filled my time making this blanket! I must say it turned out pretty darn good...except for the few sewing mistakes I made but hey I think it gives the blanket character.
The "girly" fabric
I still have to but little brown ties at each point on the squares but here's the finished product! Sorry Lance for proving you wrong about me not knowing anything about making a blanket...you married quite the girl.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Our little pup turned one year old today! I can't believe that this little ball of fur who looks so sweet and innocent has turned into an 80 lb maniac! It's a very sad day for me though because I can't spend his b-day with him...I took him this past saturday to training camp! It's a month long and supposedly he is going to be perfectly obedient when I pick him up...we'll see what they can do with the little knot-head! Happy Birthday Jake n' Bake!

New York New York!

I went up this past week to see Lance in New Jersey and we went to visit New York City! It was very interesting...another world up there!

Time Square

I still can't believe how many people were there. This is how it was EVERYWHERE I went!

New Yankee Staduim. We had to walk 12 blocks through the Bronx to get here...an experience in itself. There are some crazies in NYC!

Old Yankee Stadium. You couldn't really see much of it...they have it blocked from all the demolishing they are doing.

Central Park. It was very pretty but we had been walking forever already so we didn't even want to walk through there.

First time on a subway...I could do without ever going on one again. They are gross and you sit way too close to people for anybodies good. BUT its better than walking everywhere!

New York Stock Exchange
on Wall Street

Ground Zero where they are building the new World Trade Center

Statue of Liberty. This was our view from the ferry we rode going into the city.

It was very fun to see all these sites , do some shopping, and if you have time to go to a Broadway show! I do know now that NYC is not the place for Lance and me! It's a big ol' dirty city, concrete surrounding you everywhere so you feel like you are trapped inside forever, filled with way too many people who I swear just walk around all day pretending to do things. Fun for visits but not to live!
